Game Review
Wolverhampton Wanderers pulled off a surprising 2-1 victory over Liverpool in their Premier League clash at Molineux Stadium. This result was unexpected given Liverpool's strong form coming into the match, but Wolves capitalized on key moments to secure the win. The game was tightly contested, with Wolverhampton taking the lead in the 78th minute through a goal by Rodrigo Gomes. Liverpool responded quickly, with Mohamed Salah (GAP +2.8%) equalizing in the 83rd minute. However, Wolves had the final say as André (GAP -2.5%) scored the decisive goal in the 90th minute, sealing the victory for the home side. In terms of tactical adjustments, Wolverhampton made four changes to their lineup compared to their previous match. Matt Doherty, Angel Gomes, David Møller Wolfe, and Ladislav Krejčí were brought into the starting eleven, replacing Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Toti Gomes, Hugo Bueno, and Yerson Mosquera. Liverpool, on the other hand, made a single change, with Jeremie Frimpong (GAP +4.6%) coming in for Joe Gomez. Virgil van Dijk (GAP +4.4%) and Alisson Becker (GAP +5.5%) were notable performers for Liverpool, but their efforts were not enough to prevent the defeat. For Wolves, the contributions of Rodrigo Gomes and André were pivotal, with the latter's late goal proving to be the match-winner. This victory is a significant boost for Wolverhampton, who have been struggling for consistency. It lifts them in the league standings and provides momentum as they look to climb further up the table. For Liverpool, the loss is a setback in their pursuit of a top-four finish, and they will need to regroup quickly to maintain their position in the upper echelons of the Premier League.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
